Charmed! Hybrid Convention: What is it?

With the uncertainty of COVID providing for enhanced awareness around groups of individuals, we at Charmed! have taken to creating a Hybrid Convention Experience for our con-goers. This is meant to provide options not only for people who can’t travel, but also those who choose to lower their risk profile so everyone can be involved in the experience Charmed! provides.

Charmed!2024 is a hybrid convention, and that means that we’d like to offer most of our in-person classes online as well.

Classrooms will be set up with cameras and microphones so that classes can be streamed live as they are being presented. Classrooms that are being used for streaming will be clearly marked; unless otherwise noted for a specific class, attendees will not be shown on camera, although their voices may be broadcast.

A select number of popular classes will also be selected for rebroadcast. This means that they will be recorded — and all recordings we make will be destroyed by the end of the convention, and will not be offered to anyone outside of attendees of Charmed!2024 during the dates of the convention.

We do understand that some presenters either may not wish for their classes to be streamed and/or recorded, or may not be teaching classes that are suitable as online presentations.

There will be a place on the class proposal form to indicate whether or not you wish your classes to be streamed and/or recorded for rebroadcast. Since each of your classes must be submitted individually, you’ll have the opportunity to say yes or no based on each individual class submission.
